Well they placed Ashley on some meds and her blood pressure is responding. It’s finally dropped to “almost” normal. Yippee!!! As for Tori they won’t be testing her “billy” levels again to see if the jaundice is gone until 4am this morning. Cross your fingers for my babies!!!

A Bigger Bump

Ashley and Victoria are still in the hospital tonight. Victoria has developed Jaundice. it’s sort of common these day, especially in breastfed babies.

And Ashley is having trouble getting her blood pressure down. During her last visit her blood pressure was up slightly from her normal. They think that she may have been starting to develop preeclampsia. Because Tori was born it stopped the progress of it. But the after effects might be her elevated blood pressure. Of course that is just one guess so far. But it seem the most likely at this point.

I have full confidence that sometime in the next 36 hours they’ll be home… safe and sound. In the mean time I have some photos to share.

I am still at the hospital so I can’t get the tons of photos off of my camera just yet. But I took this photo with my cell phone and emailed it to myself. So here’s a sneak peek of my beautiful grandbaby. Yep I am biased.. she is the most beautiful baby…EVER!! lol.

Slight Bump In The Road

So we got up this morning with the hopes of being able to go home. Ashley is sick this place and longs for the privacy and comfort of her bedroom. The nurses all claimed both Ashley and Victoria were cleared to go home. Yeah… well no one expected the pediatrician on call to have a large stick up his rear end! He decided that because Ashley is a first time mom that 36 hours isn’t long enough. He wants Victoria to stay until tomorrow. Hospital Policy ya know. Ugh! So that of course means Ashley has to stay as well because she is nursing. She’s not thrilled but she’s dealing with it.

I am now officially a grandma!!! And Ashley is now officially a mom. At 1 am this morning… September 5th … Victoria Dyan, joined us. She’s healthy and beautiful!! She weighed in at 8lbs 2oz and is 21 inches long!! Both mom and baby are doing great! Ashley did so good during her delivery. I am so proud of her. Being here with her for this experience has been such a blessing. I hope that in the future my other children will let me share their special moment with them as well.

Pictures to follow… I promise. I don’t have the necessary stuff here at the hospital to remove the photos off of my camera.

Let The Dirty Tactics Begin

I knew it wouldn’t be long before other politicals started to dig into Sarah Palin’s life. In my humble opinion they’ll probably only mention the trivial non-political crap. (Like the usually do) And I am sure they’ll take those family issues or personal opinion’s and do what is always done. They’ll then fling all over every news channel and newspaper in this nation as “THE” reasons why we should all vote for Obama instead of McCain. Just as they’ve already done to Obama over the last year.

So far from what I’ve read in the news they’ve been talking non stop about several piles of family “dirt”. The hottest one being her pregnant teenage daughter and the second hottest seems to be her husband’s DUI. And I fail to see what either of those things really has to do with whether or not she’ll make a good Vice President. People make bad choices. They make mistakes in life. If you look deep enough into anyone’s closet you are sure to find something that might qualify for a scandal.

I personally haven’t made my final choice on who I am voting for and I would love it if our news stations and papers could stick with real political issues rather then who had obnoxious teenagers, or family members who have made mistakes in life, or for that matter anything petty and trivial which would be as important to this election as asking which candidates are wearing pink underwear. I know I am not the only person out there that would like to hear more important things so we can make the best decision when we vote.

I Need Liquid Cooling

I think my video cards are overheating again… already. Ugh! This case sucks for air flow and cooling. I moved my whole pc setup around to try and help with the cooling situation. It means have my monster case up on a table instead of under my desk… but if it helps I’ll deal with it then. Let’s hope it works for awhile at least…and I’ll add… A new case and liquid cooling to my wish list. Bah!

Drew has a bank. It’s not a large one, maybe about the size of a coffee can, but it’s filled to the max, lol. And recently he had some singles in there as well. I know because I put them in there. His bank has been sitting on our stereo cabinet the last few days and this morning I noticed he has NO singles in there at all. Someone took money from his bank!!!!! And there are only 2 people in this house who I suspect might have done it. I am very angry!

Ouch. Pain. Sore. Soooo Tired.

I am sore all over and physically exhausted as well. Lifting my arms feels like lifting 100 pounds, lol. But I feel happy and satisfied too. I attacked my house today and got so much done. About twice a year I rip apart each room in my house. It’s usually around February/March and then again around August/September. The garbage men HATE me on these days, lol. Ya know what amazes me the most?? It’s all the crap we manage to acquire in between these cleanings. In about 6 months time we seem to acquire enough crap for 2 more houses!! I keep tossing it out and they keep bringing it back.

Today I started cleaning at 10 am and I didn’t stop till after 6 pm. I cleaned Drew’s room from top to bottom. Washing his walls, vacuuming his floor, scrubbing his carpet, sorting, tossing and organizing his toys. Everything. Then I clean Ashley’s…same drill basically… minus the toy sorting, lol. The front hall and the entire living room got attacked today too. 8 hours! Next I have to hit my linen closet, my bedroom (again!! I have already clean my bedroom twice this year, lol.) and the kitchen (also again!) I have 4 huge garbage bags filled with crap I threw out and 3 filled with stuff to donate and I haven’t even gone through Drew’s clothes yet. I ran out of steam, lol.

And Drew…He has to own 1000+ cars…EASY!!! Look for yourself. This is every car he owns. Most are small matchbox cars. This bin is 2 feet long by 2 feet high by 1 foot wide. (2 x 2 x 1). And it’s filled to the brim.. and then some, lol. Do you think he needs more?? Hehe.

But after all of that… I have 70% of my house super squeaky clean. And over the next week I’ll probably finish the house… whew, lol.

Sorta Smushed Looking

Ashley had her 3rd ultrasound today. The doctor says she is now roughly 37 weeks along. The baby is fine and healthy.

We requested this one to try and see how big the baby is so far. Ashley’s doctor has had a lot of patients with very large babies recently. We happen to know of 5 people, who had her as a doc and who’ve delivered in the last 2 months, each who’ve delivered 10 lb babies!!!

Well the tech couldn’t help us there. Apparently doctors frown upon the techs telling patients the particulars, lol. But we got to see that she is healthy and very smushed too. There is no room left in her little “apartment” at all, lol. Ashley hopes that this baby is ready to come soon, lol.
