Understanding Why

November 30th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Politics, Sports, And The News, Just Me by Tammy

I don’t know about you all but there was a time that I was a bit fuzzy on exactly why the writers were on strike. I had heard many say why by I was still having trouble really understanding. Until I saw this video. It puts it into terms even my kids could understand. It’s not about contracts…it’s about the studios being greedy and not wanting to pay the writers money they deserve to have.

Here’s Proof

November 29th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Funny Ha Ha's, Just Me by Tammy

I said I was easily amused recently and I really am. I have received this email joke at least 6 times over the last 2 years and each time I read it I crack up. I recognize it almost immediately each time… and still I laugh.

Here’s the joke:

For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal
door and handed him a gun. “We must know that you will follow your
instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the room you will
find your wife sitting in a chair. Kill Her!!!”

The man said, “You can’t be serious, I could never shoot my wife”.
The agent said, “Then you’re not the right man for this job. Take your
wife and go home.”

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and
went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came
out with tears in his eyes, “I tried, but I can’t kill my wife.”
The agent said, “You don’t have what it takes. Take your wife and go
home.”

Finally, it was the woman’s turn. She was given the same instructions,
to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots
were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging
on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened
slowly and there stood the woman. She wiped the sweat from her brow.

“This gun is loaded with blanks” she said. “I had to beat him to death
with the chair.”

MORAL: Women are evil. Don’t mess with them.

One-Sided

My husband is sick. He never gets sick. But for the rarest of occasions. So right now he’s sick with this nasty cold we’re all sharing around the house. And ya know he’s one really crabby jerk too. When other people are sick he laughs at us, he picks on us, and gives no sympathy…period. But apparently when he is sick we’re not allowed to do those things to him. What a friggin whiner!

Open Letter To …

November 29th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Emotional Me, Just Me, Family Ties by Tammy

Dear Little Twit (Who attacked my daughter),

Recently I hear you’ve been sending notes to my kid asking to be super-dooper-bestest-friends again. You have repeatedly expressed your hope that I would allow such an atrocity to take place. And well, I have read your letters and thought long and hard about the situation (I spend less then 5 minutes.) And while my daughter buys your load of bullshit as a genuine extension of friendship….I see you for the lying trampy ass little twit that you are.

And…

NO… you may not hang out with my daughter again.
No… you can not be her friend again. You blew that chance when you attacked her…twice!!
NO… you may not be forgiven for the stupid shit you pulled.
NO… we will not fall for your little act.
NO… we will not drop the battery charges against you.
And YES…I know that is the only REAL reason you’re attempting to be friends with my daughter again… to keep your ass out of trouble. So you can stop sucking up now because it isn’t working. Deal with it..you are screwed!

Have a good day, Bitch!
Love me

Cold Weather Colds

November 29th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Just Me by Tammy

Ick! I am tired of being sick. I have been sick for the last 3 days. I am also very tired. That would be my body trying to tell me… “Sleep is good, it’ll make the sickies goes away faster.” Of course going to bed early around here is about as difficult as stuffing a 200lb man into a 3 foot by 3 foot box…It just isn’t going to happen. I tried taking some Nyquil 2 nights ago and I almost didn’t wake up yesterday morning. Last night I settled for some aspirin. I am grateful that there are only 2 more working days and then I have 2 days to sleep and attempt to heal. Lately I long for the days I used to have being home with the kids. I mean I like my job and all but right now there seems to be no future in it… so All I can think about is being home with my kids. Drew has another year and he’ll start preschool…or maybe it’ll be kindergarten. I can’t remember which way he’ll fall because of his birthday. Anyways. I’d love to spend that time home with him. I know the time will begin to fly so much faster once he’s in school full-time. Before I know it he’ll be in 6th grade. Ahhhh!! I don’t even want to think about that… I think I feel sicker now. Bleh.

Anyone For Some Lame Humor?

November 28th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Funny Ha Ha's, Talking 'Bout TV & Movies, Just Me by Tammy

Who else here is easily amused? Are any of you split into a good hearty laugh at a lame joke? How about a joke you’ve read at least twice before, does it still make you giggle? Even a little bit? Me? I am super lame-o. I am one of those people who are easily amused… for the most part. And I almost always get a second and something even a third and fourth laugh out of jokes I hear again and again. And I don’t mean like every five minutes. I mean, say you received an email joke and you laughed and thought it was funny… then maybe a couple months or even years later you get it again,.. do you laugh again? Even though you recognize it? Even though it’s a bit familiar? I totally do! Tammy= Dork

What kinds of things make you laugh? For me it’s almost anything from stand-up comedy to slapstick humor. I really enjoy a good laugh too. At least a few times a month I can be caught busting out into a full blown giggle-fest. My eyes tear up, my stomach begins to hurt and I can’t catch my breath for at least a full minute. It could be over nothing really…. maybe something funny or dorky that my kids say. I could be overtired and hit that point where everything is funny. Or I might be watching a real good comedian.

Speaking of comedians…Do you have a favorite? I do. Actually I have many favorites, lol. To name a few…

  • Jeff Dunham - OMG this guy is so fricken funny. If you enjoy comedians at all…and haven’t seen his shows… You just have to!!
  • Robin Williams - He’s awesome in my book. I love his movies, his humor… and him. Great guy all around….he’s very funny.
  • Bill Crosby - Yes.. one of the greats!
  • Eddie Murphy - Another of the greats!
  • Steve Martin - Another good actor and comedian
  • Jim Carrey - Cracks me up everytime.
  • George Carlin - Funniest man ever!! He’s the first comedian I ever saw on TV. When he started out cussing left and right I was like…”Oh no he did not just do that on TV… holy crap!” And I was hooked, lol.
  • Richard Pryor - I was so sad to see he died… I loved this guy. He was a fantastic actor and comedian. I think he was the funniest man ever born, lol. One of the greats for all time.

I Wanted Them All

November 28th, 2007 Filed under: NaBloPoMo '07, Just Me by Tammy

I remember back when this program first started. I swore I’d get each and every one of these 50 quarters. I’d have a whole collectors set. I figured it’d eventually be worth money and I’d keep it for my kids.

That of course was ages ago and I have gotten real since then, lol. I have so many other things I have to spend my money on, lol I can’t buy a collectors set of coins… even if they are cool, lol. But I was wondering how many out there may have collected them? Do you have the whole set yet? The last 5 are to be release throught out the next year. Will that finish your set? Is anyone missing any? Do you plan on keeping them for your kids? or grandkids?

Just Curious.
