I purchased a new cellphone. After months and months of being undecided I found one that I liked enough to buy. I am so picky, lol. And yet I am not really. I just can’t talk myself into spending large sums of money without being absolutely sure that I want what I am buying.

I finally decided on T-mobiles G1. And I LOVE it!!! The new Android OS on it is awesome. It runs super well. I am now very addicted, hehe. I wanted a messaging phone and this one is perfect. The Touch screen is so awesome… it’s my first time with this feature on a phone. The texting and IM’in on this phone is flawless. And the dialer interface works so smoothly. I love the voice dialing too. And the Internet on it runs great too. I love how I can adjust the size of the browser screen too. It’s a real browser too… with pictures, links, and all. Unlike The Sidekick and Blackberry browsers.

I think my video cards are overheating again… already. Ugh! This case sucks for air flow and cooling. I moved my whole pc setup around to try and help with the cooling situation. It means have my monster case up on a table instead of under my desk… but if it helps I’ll deal with it then. Let’s hope it works for awhile at least…and I’ll add… A new case and liquid cooling to my wish list. Bah!

I think my house..err… or rather the appliances inside my house are trying to mount a mutiny against us humans. They aren’t very organized but they are sure pissing me off by their attempt.

It started a couple months ago my when my garbage disposal rolled over for the last time. It wasn’t a pretty picture. Because it’s not a priority appliance; I haven’t replaced it yet. That must have made “them” mad. The house appliances must have then decided to send me a message. Since then my fridge has been temperamental…not always keeping things cold or frozen. And sometimes it decides to go ahead and freeze my eggs, milk, juice and butter. Shortly after that started… my microwave began to have issues as well. About every 10th use it smells like it’s burning but we can’t find anything really wrong with it and it’s only 2 years old. And then a couple weeks ago… maybe 3 at the most… My hot water heater crapped out. The landlord came and replaced it that day…Thank you Thank you!! Apparently though that wasn’t enough to calm the rioting machines because late last week my dishwasher broke…and finally not 24 hours after having a new one installed….My dryer has just died. But it’s not dying peacefully…ohh no. It is screaming…. no… growling sounds more appropriate. When I swapped my 3rd load this evening and turned it on…it sounded kinda like a bike chain that is being eaten by an angry grizzly bear. Looks like I’ll be calling the landlord again tomorrow.

I don’t know how long this mechanical temper tantrum is going to last…But I really hope it ends soon. It’s beginning to grate on my nerves.

Version wireless sucks! Spread the word. If you don’t have a contract with them…don’t get one!! And if you have one… I’d switch as soon as you can if I were you. Their plans and phones are over priced. And they’re such major scam artists.

Ashley went there to get a new phone and they tried to saddle her with a $800 security deposit. And it was at the end of everything. As if they were trying to slip it in unnoticed at the end. After 40 minutes of watching the slowest salesman ever get the stuff together…. After 40 minutes of picking out a plan and a phone… 40 minutes of being interrupted by other customers and random phone calls. We’re at the end thinking we’ll be done and walking out any second now…And the salesman says with a smile…”So you have an $800 security deposit that’s due today…ok?” We looked at each other and then back at the salesman. I asked him it that was a joke… and then we told them to “go jump in a river” NO!! That wasn’t ok…of course. Who would pay such an insane price?? Not us, that’s for sure. She didn’t even pay that to get her car. And that price also didn’t include the cost of the phones or the plan. So if she went with Verison it would have cost her about $1200!!! Those people are smoking crack!

So we talked and decided to checked out T-Mobile. That company and their employees rocked!! Our salesman Mike was awesome!!! They didn’t try to hide anything. Everything was upfront and honest. They told her her credit was fine and she got 2 phones..for a ZERO security deposit. I say 2 phones because she got me one too… ( Woot woot… Thanks again hun )

While we were getting our phones and getting all setup another lady came in and said she just came from Version Wireless too… and They asked her for a $1000 security deposit. And I know another person who said they had the same thing with them.. they wanted a $500-600 deposit from her too.

So FYI If want a good price and a great plan… don’t go with Verison… Pick another company.. there are plenty to choose from. How about T-mobile??

I am getting a new camera. My current camera.. an HP Photosmart 945 has served me very well over the last 4 yrs. It’s even continued to work.. and very nicely even… since Dani dropped it this summer at the fair grounds. Lately though it has begun to show many signs of that accident. It’s picky now. Sometimes it won’t start up. Other times it acts like normal and yet it didn’t save half the photos I took with it. That is very frustrating. So I am going to get a new one. A Canon actually. Canon’s EOS Digital Rebel XTi. I have wanted a rebel since back in the days when the only option was 35mm.

My hubby is buying it for me…soon. Very soon actually. Did I mention that I am so very excited. for many years now I have wanted a nice Digital SLR camera and now I am getting one. wooohooo. For awhile I was stuck on getting a Nikon… but I now realize that they are sorta over priced. And I can get all I want and more from a Canon too without needing to sell the kids or my body to afford it, lol. Which is good because I doubt I’d get much money for either, lololol. Another bonus too is that the price of the XTi (the one I am getting) was pushed way way down… since Canon just released it’s 40D Digital Camera and the XSi (450D) Digital is due to be released soon as well. That makes the deal even sweeter. Just a mere 4 months ago the XTi would have cost nearly double what we’re buying it for. Thank you Canon for helping to drop the price, heheh.

I am even thinking of trying to take my photography a step further and maybe sometime in the future I can use my hobby to make money. Rick is buying me a lighting kit…complete with several lights, the stands, the umbrellas, diffusers and backdrops too. I am looking forward to trying to take my own family portraits this year. I am even gonna draft my friends and their kids to practice on, lol.

I am so excited… the waiting is gonna kill me!!

…I don’t think I can deny it or lie to myself anymore. Drew is so spoiled, lol! As I have mentioned before we have many game counsels here. (PS2, XBox, XBox 360, Sega) The Sega wasn’t being used much really; at least not since the Xbox 360 arrived last year. So recently Rick put it in Drew’s room. So he could play Sonic, Qbert, Space race (Looney tunes), And a Night of the Living Dead game, lol. We don’t have many games for it. But the ones we have are loved favorites.

So what do you think… Spoiled?? Yeah I thought so too. But he’s so adorable too!! Hehehe. Here you can see Drew playing space race. Such an adorable fun game. I highly recommend it. It merges Looney Tunes characters and fun with a racing type game.

I am curious and just have to ask. Is there any difference to a cable/satellite company DVR and a TIVO unit?? Do they both do they same things? We have 2 dual tuner DVR’s through our cable television company. And I have always wondered if TIVO was any different then my DVR. I have gone to the TIVO site and looked around and it looks the same to me. But I have heard other people comment to the contrary. Saying their TIVO could do more. So I am asking all of you… Does TIVO do more then your standard DVR unit? Or are they basically the same thing?
