We had a lovely day yesterday at our Field Museum. Which is located in downtown Chicago. The kids and I were joined by Lynn and Kelcey. We got to see tons of really neat stuff and also enjoy a day away from the daily routine. Photos are up on Flickr. Enjoy!!

Drew had his first train ride too!! He loved it. And He loved the museum as well. He really got a kick out of seeing everything. My girls loved it as well. They can’t wait to go to another one.
These things go together quite nicely. I swore I wouldn’t be one of “those” kinds of people who brought home technology with them while camping. But it seems that I lied. I am currently sitting here in a camping “bag chair” relaxing by the fire and playing on my laptop. And I have to admit that it’s kinda cool. Last night my mom was playing a game on here too, lol. I have tons of pictures but you’re going to have to wait till I start sorting and uploading them. (Truth be told I have a bunch of pictures from last weekend too. I took my kids to the local walking trails, the woods, and what’s called the “Indian Caves” by our house. So I have to upload those too, lol)
Maybe my camping trip will help stomp out this funk that has been keeping me from blogging this month. If not I might try Robert’s suggestion and start drinking large quantities of alcohol…But I think i’ll pass on the wacky weed. I never really was one for that… and I doubt I know anyone who could hook me up anyways, lolol
I am floored. We pulled up to Vanna’s and the pumpkin selection was …. very limited. I couldn’t believe it. Apparently their crop didn’t go so well this year. guess a lot of farmers are had similar issues since the weather around here has been warm and wet. But we managed to find a few we liked. We’ll carve it next week. It’ll be Drew’s first carving experience… this should be good, lolol.

Today my mom, Drew and I headed out to Union, Illinois to our Railway Museum. It was where Drew would get to se and ride Thomas the Tank engine. They do this each year there and it’s really a great even to take your family too. Even if they’re not obsessed with trains. Drew just loves Thomas. And when were first got there we heard the train whistle and Drew yelled out, “Thomas… I am coming!!” He was so excited and thrilled to see Thomas up close and personal.
I took a bunch of photos go take a peek on Flickr.
This weekend while camping my sweety gave me something very romantic. He carved RK + TK into this tree and took a picture. It’s hard to see but it’s there. I love you baby!!

… until everyone is here and we’re ready to go. “Go where?”, you ask. Well this weekend Rick, Ashley, Dani, Nikki, Drew, Lynn, Paul, Kelcey and I are going CAMPING!!! The kids are excited. Lynn and I are excited. And it even appears like the men are excited too. This has been the longest afternoon EVER. lol. Time is moving by so slowly, heheh. Normally I’d be so happy for that but today I want it to hurry up and be time for us to go, hehehe.
I promise to try and take lots of pictures… See you Sunday!
Yesterday was an awesome day. We all went to Brookfield Zoo. It was Drew’s first time EVER to the zoo. And guess what? He loved it! We got some small videos and tons of pictures. After sifting through the pictures I finally uploaded 358 of them.
Here’s a short video…and don’t forget to go see the pictures on my flickr here.
