This weekend while camping my sweety gave me something very romantic. He carved RK + TK into this tree and took a picture. It’s hard to see but it’s there. I love you baby!!

August 12th, 2007 Filed under: Flickr-liclious, Camping 2007 by TammyWell we’re back from camping this weekend and I am not even remotely exaggerating when I say we’re falling over exhausted. Camping takes a lot out of you, lol. None of us slept well while we were there. On Friday night some nut job kept setting off their car alarm and last night 3 different camping lots were so loud you couldn’t fall asleep. They finally all quieted down around 2:30 in the morning.
So we’re back, we had a great time but we’re happy to be home. I have a ton of pictures to upload and share too. And a ton of a mess to clean, lol My kitchen looks like a campground threw up in it, lol I have to clean and reorganize everything. I figured the only way it was sure to get done was if I had the kids move everything into the kitchen, lol That way I can’t forget or ignore it like I am sure I would have had we left it all in the car, lol.
So anyways later on today… go on over to Flickr and check out the pictures. I promise to have them uploaded by this evening.
T- Minus 2 Hours and 15 Minutes…

Well this weekend Rick, Ashley, Dani, Nikki, Drew, Lynn, Paul, Kelcey and I are going CAMPING!!! The kids are excited. Lynn and I are excited. And it even appears like the men are excited too. This has been the longest afternoon EVER. lol. Time is moving by so slowly, heheh. Normally I’d be so happy for that but today I want it to hurry up and be time for us to go, hehehe.
I promise to try and take lots of pictures… See you Sunday!
Well we ended up having to come home early. We were rained out. But we had a great time the 2 days we were gone. Pictures are up on my flickr site. I’ll post some stories of all the fun later on.
Tomorrow we’re off till Sunday. We’re going camping! This time at a Jellystone. Yay!. And this time all 4 of my kids will be there too. I’m really excited and I think the kids will have a great time. They certainly won’t be at a lost for things to do. There’s 4 pools, a lake with a nice-sized beach, a game room, a theater and tons more…and that’s just inside the park, lol. I’m bringing the camera with again. This time I want to take a ton more pictures then I did the last two times, lol. So I hope you’re all ready. I’m really looking forward to this trip.
And then… next weekend..June 30th through July 2nd. My husband and I are going to St. Louis MO. He has a company work thing to do for a few hours on Saturday… but after that the weekend is totally ours. I can’t wait. My husband and I haven’t been away for a weekend…together…alone…since before our kids were born. And Dani’s 14 now. That’s way too long if you ask me.
My FIL is coming into town around the 4th of July. The kids are really excited about that too. They can’t wait to see him. I’m happy for them but I can’t help be annoyed too. He used to live 30 minutes from us and rarely made any attempts to extend himself to come see the kids. We almost always had to go to him (which we happily did for our children’s sake). Now he lives in Florida; he moved there about 4 years ago now. But we should be honored…Because he graces (sarcasm) the kids with occasional 15 minute phone call and blesses them (more sarcasm) with a once a year visit for a whooping (and even more sarcasm) 2-4 hours. And all the while he acts put out… like he’s actually doing something out of the ordinary. Like spending any time with his grandkids could very well killl him and they should be ohhh sooo grateful that he is willing to take that risk for them. It just pushes my buttons and sends me over the edge to see these kids worship him like they do and I know (as much as I know I’m sitting here typing) that he could care less. It’s infuriating to see him just toss away their love like a rancid piece of meat. But for my children, I answer the phone…and once a year…the door, with a smile on my face and happiness in my voice. So that he feels welcome. It makes my kids happy. And I quietly hope that one day he’ll sprout a brain and actually do something good towards these kids to prove he is really worthy of their devotion.
And then as if that wasn’t enough to cramp into a 30 day period..The following week from the 7th to the 13th… Ashley will travel to Florida to spend a week with her very bestest friend, Kelly.
All of this is just the highlights for the next couple weeks, lol. So to say life around here is busy might be a bit of an understatement. LOL!
